Discovery Garden Volunteer
Our Discovery Garden provides learning opportunities and sensory experiences for young people at WESC Foundation (all of whom have a visual impairment and other additional/complex needs) and others from the local community. We also work with Exeter College’s Prince’s Trust TEAM programme and in partnership with local businesses who bring staff for CSR/volunteer days.
The project includes two polytunnels, a herb garden, woodland garden, glass house, several herbaceous borders and accessible raised beds.
We need additional volunteers to support us in maintaining the garden and taking on a variety of tasks to complement the work of our young people.
No experience necessary. Just bring a positive attitude and lots of enthusiasm and we’ll provide the rest, including training, tools and equipment.
