WESC Foundation Open Day
Are you exploring school, post-16 college or young adult care options for a young person or adult who is visually impaired?
WESC Foundation is holding its next open day on Tuesday 10th November 2020 from 10am until 2pm. We are still planning on holding a ‘physical’ event at our campus in Exeter, subject to COVID-19 restrictions.
Our open days are useful for parents and young people considering WESC Foundation as an option. We also welcome commissioners, teachers and SEN professionals to find out all about our services. These services include:
- the school (up to 16) yrs)
- the college (16+)
- VI specialist outreach in mainstream or special school and college settings
- social enterprises and work placements
- Care (residential and day) and supported living services for young adults
About the event
The open day follows a relatively formal programme. This includes a full tour of all our facilities, Q&A time with heads of departments including our VI specialist team, therapy and mobility, research, care and education and our CEO. We always start the day with coffee and pastries and the timetable includes a light lunch.
Booking essential, and we ask that visitors arrive in time for the beginning of the event at 10.00. A full programme will be provided upon receipt of your enquiry.
For more information or to reserve your place call Richard Ellis, head of VI specialist services on 01392 454288 or email Richard.
If you cannot attend the open day, or you would like to visit before then, just contact Richard and we will try and arrange a bespoke visit.
