WESC Pub Quiz
The best charity pub quiz in Exeter is back, that’s right… our pub quiz is back! Thursday 5th October starting at 7pm – but this time, due to building work here, the quiz is being held at the beautiful, historic Matthew’s Hall – just down the road in Topsham.
Pop the date in your diary!
We are so grateful to our sponsors, Thomas Westcott, who have helped us to establish our quiz as the very BEST in Exeter, as well as helping to involve and invite so many local businesses.
The last quiz was a great, fun, closely fought evening, everyone who took part enjoyed themselves, and, we raised nearly £2500 towards projects at WESC Foundation. The eventual champions were Team LV from Liverpool Victoria.
At a cost of £8 per person, teams of up to 6 are invited to come along and battle it out by answering a selection of general knowledge questions, and solving baffling table top picture rounds.
A delicious buffet is included in the entry fee, with a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available from the bar, and there will be a special prize and trophy for the winning team, as well as a top raffle with lots of prizes!
The money raised at the quiz will go towards providing additional music lessons, therapy and activities here at WESC Foundation. Music really is of special importance to young people with visual impairment and special needs. For some, learning to play an instrument or to sing can add immeasurably to their lives. For others, many of whom have severe learning difficulties, music therapy may offer a lifeline, helping them to reach out in a dark and confusing world. For all these young people music has a significant impact. It not only gives them great joy, it encourages them to learn, boosts their confidence and helps them to share their thoughts and feelings with others, opening up a world of independence, fulfilment and hope for the future.
We look forward to seeing you at Matthews Hall, Fore St, Topsham, Exeter EX3 0HF.
