Walk for WESC
The Exe Trail cycle path and walkway runs along the Exe Estuary from Exmouth all the way to WESC, passing through some of the most fantastic views and picturesque villages in the West Country. The route is just over 8 miles and is very well signed which makes for a relaxed and enjoyable walk. The route is also wheelchair and push chair friendly, so all the family can take part.
The walk is starting between 9am and 10am from the trail just past Exmouth train station and we hope that all our walkers will be back at WESC by lunchtime.
The entry charge for the walk is £5 per person and this includes a one way bus ticket from WESC to
Exmouth and entry to the Exmouth Town Band concert on the WESC Foundation sports field in the afternoon. You will also be able to buy refreshments, cream teas and homemade cakes here, or you can bring your own picnic, and enjoy the afternoon concert. The band will be playing from about 1pm until about 4.30pm, with a short interval.
There is plenty of car parking at WESC Foundation so you can leave your car here, use the bus to travel to the start in Exmouth and then enjoy the walk back.
There is an entry charge of £3.00 for anyone who wants to just come along to the afternoon Exmouth Town Band concert, and perhaps enjoy a cream tea or strawberries and cream whilst welcoming the walkers back!
