World Book Day 2019 at WESC Foundation

8 March 2019

Yesterday was World Book Day, and once again the WESC Foundation students and staff rose to the occasion with a stunning collection of characters spotted around the campus.

School uniforms and college casual wear were swapped for exciting costumes, with Bruce Bogtrotter (Matilda), the Smartest Giant in Town, several witches and wizards, Wally (Where’s Wally), Tracey Beaker and Little Red Riding Hood among those making an appearance.

Activities ran throughout the day, including a lunchtime session where young people (joined by some of staff) acted out scenes from their favourite books, including “Where the Wild Things Are”.

Young people and start from across WESC Foundation’s provision, including education, adult day services and St David’s House, all took part in the annual event.
