Skydiving mother and daughter raise over £1,000 for vision impairment charity

1 July 2021

Last Thursday saw a mother and daughter skydiving team take flight to raise money for young people with vision impairment.

Miranda Blyth and Ellie Horne bravely flew to 15,000ft for the tandem skydives with experienced instructors from Devon’s Skydive Buzz at Dunkeswell Airfield.

They’ve raised over £1,000 for the charity’s work with children and adults who have vision impairment. The money raised will help to fund vital hoist equipment for residential accommodation to be refurbished later in the year.

Speaking after the jump Ellie said:

“That was a once in a lifetime experience. I’m really glad to be able to tick a skydive off my bucket list and it feels even better to know that by doing so I’ve helped support such a worth cause.”

Miranda added:

“I was looking forward to the skydive all year, and it didn’t disappoint!

I now can’t wait to jump again”
