Pub quiz answers our fundraising challenge
24 October 2019
WESC Foundation’s recent fundraising pub quiz has raised over £1,600 for blind and partially-sighted children and young adults.
Seventeen teams gathered at the Exeter charity’s Topsham Road campus to battle out for the hotly-contestant WESC Foundation Quiz Shield, with the honours (and bragging rights) going to University Challenged.
The money raised will support projects like providing day time support, activities and respite for young adults with visual impairment and additional needs who live in the community.
WESC Foundation is a specialist centre for visual impairment, and offers a range of educational, care and support services to children and young adults. The charity was founded in Exeter in 1838 as The Blind Institute and is still based on the outskirts of the city.
The next WESC Foundation charity pub quiz takes place on Thursday 5th March 2020.
