Host a cream tea for WESC Foundation this summer!

The sprinkling crumbs as you break your first scone. The spread of the jam. Spoon on your Cornish clotted cream, let your tea brew, and enjoy. There’s nothing like a cream tea…

Would you like to host a fundraising cream tea for WESC Foundation for your friends, family and neighbours? The wonderful Cream Tea Society will supply you with pots of delicious Rodda’s cream and scrumptious Tiptree jam at no charge for a charity event, so you just need to cook or buy the scones, select a venue, and, invite your guests? Oh, and have a wonderful, fun, and very English afternoon!

We would like as many of our wonderful supporters to hold a cream tea for WESC this summer. The Fundraising team at WESC is on hand to help you and provide tips and support, as well as posters, collection tins, t-shirts and promotional materials.

The Cream Tea Society will support you by supplying the pots of cream and jam. You will just need to fill in their clotted cream and jam donation form, adding a short description of WESC Foundation, the charity number (1058937) and the date that you want the cream and jam delivered. This could be

“WESC Foundation is a specialist day and residential centre, at Countess Wear in Exeter, offering education, care and a unique experience for children, young people and adults with sight loss and complex needs.  The children and young people are aged 4 – 25 and are from across the UK. All of the children and young people have additional needs that include for example cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism and, sadly, some do have life limiting illnesses.”

You can of course add your own home made cakes and pies, or run a raffle or tombola, or add plant sales or book sales…….in fact the more you make this your very own event the better!
