Exeter College student runs half-marathon for WESC
WESC Foundation students and staff have made such a positive impression on Exeter College student, Faith, so much so that she has decided to run the Torbay half-marathon to raise money for the visually impaired students here at WESC. Here is what she had to say:
“My name is Faith and I am a Level 3 Childcare student at Exeter College. I have wanted to teach all my life and in September 2017 I began a work experience placement at WESC Foundation – The Specialist Centre for Visual Impairment.
“This experience has proven to be truly inspirational for me and I love every moment I spend working with the wonderful staff and amazing students here. It has also made me realise that I want to pursue a career that both teaches and supports students and children with diverse needs.
“As a show of my appreciation and commitment to this amazing school and college, I will be running the Torbay half-marathon on Sunday 24 June 2018 to do my bit towards helping WESC to continue to provide such a welcoming community and outstanding opportunities for all of its students.
“Please support me by donating to this wonderful charity and help the young lives that rely upon the experiences and lessons it provides. Thank you.”
