18 March 2019

Students from WESC Foundation have begun planting new trees thanks to a donation from The Woodland Trust.

Planting Woodland Trust free trees at WESC Foundation's West Hill horticulture site

Over 100 saplings will be used to help develop the charity’s East Devon horticulture site at West Hill, near Ottery St Mary. The hardy species include hawthorn, holly, goat willow, and the new trees will be deployed across the site under the watchful eye of Patrick Phillips, the West Hill Horticulture Project Leader.

The 10 acre project also includes two polytunnels, a huge glass house, propagating green house, fruit trees, jungle garden, pond and a Forest School.

Each year the Woodland Trust donates thousands of trees to schools and communities.
